MBA Program
- U.S. News & World Report ranked the Terry College's MBA program 49th overall and 23rd among public business schools (2008). More than 500 business schools have graduate programs that are accredited by AACSB International, and the number that earn accreditation represents less than 10 percent of the world's business schools. The ranking's methodology weighs a combination of measurements, including an assessment of quality based the perception of peer schools and recruiters, student selectivity and placement success. This year's ranking is Terry's ninth consecutive year to be ranked among the top 50 nationally.
- The Terry College's MBA program improved its standing in The Wall Street Journal/Harris Interactive's 2007 survey of the top business schools. The full-time MBA program was ranked 34th in the country among MBA programs with regional recruiting patterns. That was up from 43rd in 2006. Among all U.S. public business schools, the Terry College is ranked 23rd. The Wall Street Journal/Harris Interactive report is the only business school ranking that is based solely on the opinions and survey responses of corporate recruiters.
- The Financial Times of London ranked the Terry College's MBA program 80th in the world (2008). The Times ranked Terry 46th among U.S. business schools and the 22nd best public business school. Terry was also judged to have the third best "value for the money" of any U.S. business school. The ranking primarily measures the salaries and career progression of alumni, along with the diversity and international reach of the school, and the research capabilities of the school's faculty.
- The Terry College's MBA program was ranked 92nd among all business schools in the world, 45th in the United States and 20th among public business schools in an annual survey produced by the Economist Intelligence Unit, an information service to The Economist magazine group. The MBA program scored highest on the measurements of faculty quality and breadth of the program's alumni network. The survey is based on a school's ability to deliver the most important elements that MBA candidates look for when pursuing their degrees and took into account four main dimensions: opening new career opportunities (35 percent), personal development and educational experience (35 percent), increased salary (20 percent), and potential to network (10 percent).
- Forbes magazine ranked the Terry MBA 44th among the top U.S. business schools for return on investment (2005). Among public business schools, the Terry MBA ranked 18th. According to Forbes' survey and calculation, Terry MBA graduates from the Class of 2000 realized an average "five-year gain" of $64,000 after allowing for the cost of out-of-state tuition and foregone salary while they were in school. In the Forbes survey, the Class of 2000 Terry MBA graduates reported an average "pre-MBA" salary of $40,000 and an average salary for 2004 of $100,000.
- Business Week ranked the Terry College's MBA program among its Top 50 B-schools of 2004. Among public business schools, the Terry MBA ranked in the Top 20. The magazine, which has been evaluating business schools since 1988, determines its ranking of the top business schools by surveys of MBA graduates and corporate recruiters.

Undergraduate Program
- U.S. News & World Report ranked the Terry College's undergraduate program 30th overall and 18th among public business schools (2008). Of the more than 2,000 U.S. business schools, fewer than 500 have achieved full accreditation and are eligible to be ranked by U.S. News. This year's ranking marks the 10th consecutive year Terry has been ranked in the top 30. The ranking was based on a U.S. News survey of business school deans and senior faculty at accredited programs, who were asked to rate the quality of all undergraduate business programs with which they were familiar.
- The Terry College's bachelor's program climbed 12 spots to 44th in the latest BusinessWeek ranking of "The Best Undergraduate B-Schools" in the country (2008). The centerpiece of BusinessWeek's methodology was a survey of graduating seniors at 127 undergraduate programs that were eligible for the ranking. The student survey counted for 30 percent of the final ranking, with a corporate recruiter survey contributing 20 percent. Starting salaries and an "MBA feeder school" measurement counted 10 percent each. Finally, academic quality measurements contributed the remaining 30 percent.

Executive MBA
The Terry Executive MBA program received its highest ranking to date in a global survey published by the Financial Times. The Executive MBA was ranked 22nd in the United States and 59th in the world, according to the Times' 2008 ranking. The Terry EMBA made the most significant improvement of any program ranked the past two years, rising 18 spots. Terry's "Career Progress" rank was third highest nationally and 13th in the world. This measurement calculates the change in the level of seniority and the size of the company graduates work for now versus the period before they entered the EMBA program. The average salary reported by graduates three years after completing the program was $153,750, which ranked 19th among U.S. business schools. Similarly, Terry ranked 20th in average salary growth when 2005 graduates were asked to compare their current salaries with their pre-EMBA salaries.

- U.S. News & World Report ranked the undergraduate insurance program 2nd in the nation in its latest survey of the best risk management/insurance programs (2008). Management Information Systems
- The MIS Department was ranked 9th in a survey of the best undergraduate business programs for information systems by U.S. News & World Report (2008). - U.S. News & World Report Report also ranked the graduate program in MIS 15th nationally in its latest survey of the best information systems specialties (2008). The "business specialty" rankings in U.S. News are based on reputational ratings by business school deans and directors of accredited master's programs from the schools surveyed. The schools receiving the most votes in a given category are ranked.
- The MIS faculty ranked first in research productivity, based on the number of research articles published from 1993-1997 in the field's two leading academic journals, MIS Quarterly and Information Systems Research. Two Purdue University professors conducted the study of research productivity (1998).

Accounting
- The Tull School of Accounting had its bachelor's, master's and PhD programs all ranked by Public Accounting Report's 2007 Survey of Accounting Professors. Tull's bachelor's and master's programs were ranked 10th and 11th, respectively, moving up from 16th last year. The school's PhD program was ranked 21st, and 14th among publics.

Entrepreneurship
- Entrepreneur magazine has ranked Terry's entrepreneurship program among its Top 50 in 2003 and 2005.
- The Terry College's doctoral program in entrepreneurship was ranked first by the U.S. Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship and was given the National Model Program Award for Excellence (1998).

Finance
- A 2002 ranking of research productivity in finance journals places the Terry College's Banking and Finance Department 16th among U.S. public business schools and 37th overall among business schools globally. The Arizona State University study ranked finance departments by the number of publications in the top four journals in finance between 1991 and 2001.

Economics
- The Economics Department ranked second out of 69 Southern colleges and universities in terms of research productivity. The study's findings, published in the 2001 edition of Applied Economics Letters, were based on an examination of the total output of each school's economics faculty from 1982 to 1997.
